The Mountaintop imagines what Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s last night on Earth might have been. After delivering one of his most memorable speeches, an exhausted Dr. King retires to his room at the Lorraine Motel while a storm rages outside. When he orders room service, a young maid arrives with a revelation that calls Dr. King to confront unwelcome truths. It’s a conversation about divergent paths of legacy, and how sometimes a great man is also human.

Know before you go:

• The Mountaintop will be performed in our lobby. The lobby will be transformed and include a full set, lighting, and an audience seating area with rows of chairs. We are excited to present the show in this intimate setting to give the audience the sensation of being in the room with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

• There will be no late seating! Once the show begins, we will not be able to seat latecomers.

• Before the show begins, audience members will have the unique opportunity to walk through the set and explore our recreation of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s room at the Lorraine Motel.

• Audience members will be able to order drinks from concessions online and have them delivered to their seat before the show begins. We will not offer popcorn, snacks, or candy during this show.

• Seating is general admission, so we recommend arriving early for the best seats.

• The show runs about 90 minutes with no intermission.
