 HOW TO WATCH STREAMING Productions

Bring the Theatre Charlotte stage into your living room!

Theatre Charlotte is excited to be able to offer audiences a chance to watch our productions from the comfort and safety of your own home! Our "At Home" streaming productions will be performed live on stage at Theatre Charlotte and recorded with multi-camera views for a unique experience! In order to have a great viewing experience, please follow our steps outlined below.

TICKETS

Please purchase your ticket online through our ShowTix4U ticketing and streaming service. Click here to find links to purchase tickets for our upcoming streaming productions.

After you purchase your ticket, you will receive a confirmation email. PLEASE KEEP THIS EMAIL! On the second page of your ticket packet, you will find instructions to view the show as well as your access code.

ACCESS THE STREAMING PRODUCTION

It is showtime! When you are ready to watch an On Demand show, simply follow the steps below to access. 

To access the show, you must use a web browser. You can use any of the following options:

1.) Point your mobile camera at the QR code on the ticket and click on the notification that appears.

2.) Open your ticket in a PDF application and click the word "HERE."

3.) Go to www.ShowTix4U.com/stream and enter your access code.

You will be able to watch your On Demand Streaming show for 48 hours after you originally accessed the production.

USE YOUR TV TO WATCH THE SHOW

While you must use a web browser on your computer, phone or tablet to access our streaming shows, you do have options to get the show on to your television using a streaming device. Below you will find instructions for how to send video from your web browser to your TV. Click on the type of device you use for web browsing (Windows computer, Android device, iPhone, iPad, or Mac computer) and instructions will pop up for using streaming devices including Apple TV, Firestick, Roku, and Chromecast. If you do not currently own a streaming device, note that the Amazon Firestick/Fire TV works with all of the options below. For people using Apple devices, the Apple TV is the simplest and most reliable way to send video to your television.

If you are using a Windows Computer or Laptop (such as MS Surface) to access your stream, here are options for how to view it on your TV using different streaming devices.

Apple TV
AirParrot is a $16 application that mirrors your screen or streaming media to an Apple TV.

Chromecast
Unfortunately, Chromecast is no longer supported on a computer. To set up your Chromecast, please use a mobile device.

Firestick/Fire TV

Roku

If you are using a Android Smartphone or Tablet to access your stream, here are options for how to view it on your TV using different streaming devices.

Apple TV
Unfortunately, while there are applications for sale that provide this ability, we cannot recommend any applications at this time.

Chromecast

Roku

If you are using a Apple iPhone, iPad, or Mac computer or laptop to access your stream, here are options for how to view it on your TV using different streaming devices.

Apple TV
With your device connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV, start playing a video and tap the AirPlay icon in the lower right-hand corner of the player.

Chromecast

Roku
Unfortunately, screen mirroring is not currently supported for iOS or MacOS devices.
