Volunteering at TC
At Theatre Charlotte, volunteers are our most valuable asset! Over 500 volunteers a year are needed to bring to life our stage productions. For anyone who wonders "How can I do this? I have no training..." put those thoughts aside. No job is too difficult and no experience is necessary. With a little training, anyone can do anything!
Volunteers are needed for all aspects of the theatre: costumes, props, reservations, ushering, selling concessions, building, painting, costuming, lighting, and the list goes on.
Every volunteer is just as important as a director or audience member; like links in a chain, one cannot function without the other. Through the cooperation of everyone involved, respecting individual responsibilities, each show will become a successful production.
If you have always wanted to, but never found the time, come on in, and see how much fun you will have by "puttin' on a show" at Charlotte's oldest arts organization!
Front-of-house volunteer opportunities (usher, concessions, will call, etc.) for all of our productions are posted through the HandsOn Charlotte website, a local charter of the HandsOn Network, which works to build community through service and civic engagement.
